Joe Rogan defends Jon Jones’ victory, Last two rounds should count more

UFC Commentator Joe Rogan said on his Podcast that he felt Jon Jones deserved to win the decision against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.

In one of the most controversial title fight decisions in recent years, Jones edged out a narrow unanimous decision victory by scores of 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46. It was an extremely close fight that was fought tooth-and-nail by two of the best light heavyweights in the world.

Majority of the MMA Community including UFC president Dana White seemed to side with Reyes earning the decision. The judges, however, awarded Jones the win, something which Joe Rogan agrees with.

Talking on his podcast Joe Rogan said championship rounds should be scored more than the first three rounds of the fight. According to Joe Rogan, Jon Jones deserved to win the decision against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 because if it were a life-or-death battle, Jon Jones would win.

This is what Joe Rogan said: “I feel like those last two rounds should should count more, this is my personal opinion. If this fight was gonna go on another five rounds it’s pretty f—ing clear who’s gonna win.”

Do you agree with Joe Rogan, how did you score the fight and who really “won”?
