Khamzat Chimaev Agitated with UFC and Dana White- Says He Will Call Out Middleweights

Khamzat Chimaev is like a human fighting machine, who seeks regular competition. He made his UFC debut at Fight Island on July 15 and is already on a three-fight win streak.

Finishing all three of his opponents, Chimaev has competed in both the middleweight and the welterweight division. That said, it seemed that he took shelter in the welterweight unit for some time. However, Chimaev is now ready to get into the middleweight division again, since he has failed to bag any of the top 170 pounders.

A lot of fighters believe that it’s bizarre to hand him a top-rated fight because he is just three fights old in the UFC. However, looking at his activeness and sheer dominance, many believe that ‘Borz’ can actually defeat the A-listers.

While it has been just a month since his KO win against Gerald Meerschaert, Khamzat Chimaev is calling out the middleweights like it’s normal.

Khamzat Chimaev pleads Dana White for more challenges

After calling out the welterweight contenders like Stephen Thompson and several others, Chimaev has turned to Twitter to make a statement. He tagged UFC head, Dana White, in the post and wrote, “I can’t get Welterweight fight I’m going to start calling out middleweight.”

He is yet to receive a response in that, but Chimaev has set his eyes on the middleweight title too. When Israel Adesanya defend his title against Paulo Costa at UFC 253, ‘Borz’ asked the administrators to hand him the “skinny guy” via Twitter.

It is safe to believe that White won’t offer him a title shot instantly. But, if the Swedish sensation continues to climb the chart, he will get a title fight soon. The question is, will it be at middleweight or welterweight?

2020 has got just two more months left, and it seems that  Chimaev will fight more than once. If he is eyeing a middleweight move now, it will be alluring for the fans. That said, the UFC administrators need to make the final call. ‘Borz’ and the MMA fans want it to happen.
