‘See You Soon’- Yoel Romero Calls Out Jake Paul; Asks Him to Stop Running Like Israel Adesanya

Yoel Romero has established himself as one of the scariest knockout artists the UFC has ever seen. The Cuban recently was released by the UFC and is now part of rival promotion Bellator MMA. At 43, Romero is still in incredible shape and can stand his own against much younger fighters.

A name that a lot of MMA fighters have been calling out recently is Jake Paul. The YouTube star recently put out an expletive-laden crass video aimed at Conor McGregor and Dana White, where he got extremely personal. Since then, the likes of Nate Diaz and Chris Weidman among other fighters have called him out.

Yoel Romero sets his sights on YouTuber Jake Paul

In a recent video, ‘The Soldier of God,’ called out Jake Paul. He said, “He talking more, too much. No running like Izzy (Israel Adesanya) come to me and fight with me. And now that people can see you the best. You can do everything what you say, Jon Porr (Jake Paul). You know what? I love you, see you soon, Jon Porr (Jake Paul), see you soon.”

Paul made headlines when he knocked out former NBA star Nate Robinson in a vicious fashion. In his post-fight interview, he called out Conor McGregor.

The fight against Robinson was only his second fight as a professional. He made his professional debut against fellow YouTuber Ali Eson Gib in January 2020.

Though ‘The Notorious’ has been his main target, Dana White has stated vehemently that it would not happen. A lot of other fighters have put their name forward to fight Jake Paul now, including ‘The Soldier of God’. It will be interesting to see if any of these potential fights materialize.

Paul weighed in at about 189-pounds for his fight against Robinson, which is just 5-pounds more than the middleweight limit where Romero used to fight.

Romero is currently signed with the Bellator therefore it will be interesting to see Scott Coker’s stance on fighting a YouTuber given that his counterpart is strictly against it.

What do you make of Yoel Romero calling out Jake Paul? Do you think this fight will take place?
